Industrial Context Sensing

Outlines the development and results of perception mechanisms that equip robots with advanced sensing capabilities, enhancing their operation in industrial environments. The report is structured around four sections, each focusing on a key perception technology employed within the SOPRANO project.

Customizable Task Execution

Outlines technological advancements aiming to enhance task execution flexibility in multi-robot and human-robot collaborative industrial environments. The report focuses on the SOPRANO components for Mapping of High-Level Plans to Robotic Capabilities, and for Multi-Human Multi-Robot Task Allocation.

Technologies for Safety Analysis and Testing of MH-MR Systems

Presents the Safety Analysis and Testing solution developed to support the safe design, validation, and operation of multi-human, multi-robot systems. Ensuring safety in shared workspaces requires methods that can address both design-time uncertainties and runtime risks. The solution responds to this need by combining complementary technologies for simulation, testing, and safety analysis within a unified framework.

Technologies for Trustworthy and Responsible AI

Provides an overview of the technologies for responsible and trustworthy AI that aim to define and evaluate responsible AI models from a legal, privacy, and ethical perspective, and to address how the trustworthiness of AI models can be enhanced and how can their uncertainty be measured.

Modular, Reconfigurable and Flexible Tools

Provides a description of the tools designed to address multi-human, multi-robot collaboration in dynamic industrial environments including components for Context Models and Context Extraction Services, Architecting Tools for MH-MR Systems, Support for AI/ML Pipelines and for varying Robotics Capabilities.

Analysis of MH-MR Collaboration in Early Prototype Evaluations

Summarises the early multi-human, multi-robot evaluation of the early SOPRANO project prototypes across three use cases for Construction, Manufacturing and Smart Agriculture. The assessment examined how workers experience collaboration with robotic platforms during operational scenarios, focusing on key human factors such as workload, emotional responses, safety perception, comfort, and trust.
